Anhydrous Sodium Sulfate

Anhydrous Sodium Sulfate

Sodium sulfate, chemical formulaNa2SO4, commonly known as anhydrous glauber salt or industrial sodium sulfate (trade name: Yuanmingfen).

It is an inorganic salt produced as a major by-product of chlor-alkali, caprolactam, coking and pharmaceutical production processes.

Pure sodium sulfate appears as white crystalline granules or powder, soluble in water, neutral aqueous solution, non-toxic and stable under normal temperature.

By-product sodium sulfate has a wide range of applications. It can be used as a dyeing auxiliary in textile printing and dyeing, filler for detergents and daily chemicals, anti-caking additive for compound fertilizers, clarifying agent for glass production, grinding aid for cement and raw material for concrete admixtures. It also serves as paper filler, water treatment agent, leather tanning auxiliary and raw material for manufacturing various sodium-based chemical products.
